Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Shafter, CA

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid SLPA licensure required
- Experience in school-based settings, especially recent roles, is highly preferred
- Competence working with TK-8th grade students
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students across a range of ages
- Proficient in implementing speech and language interventions as directed by a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of maintaining thorough documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students under the supervision of an SLP
- Collaborate with educators and other school staff to support students’ communication goals
- Assist with screenings and implementing Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals
- Collect and record data on student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain a positive, encouraging learning environment for all students
- Communicate with families regarding student achievements and progress when appropriate
