Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license or credential for the state (or eligibility to obtain before the assignment start date)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and supervising SLPs
- Ability to adapt strategies based on individual student needs
- Organizational skills to manage caseload documentation and sessions efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct Speech-Language services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support students’ language, articulation, and social communication progress
- Implement therapy activities and document student performance
- Assist in preparing therapy materials and contribute to the generalization of learned strategies into the classroom setting
- Maintain up-to-date records and follow district protocols
