School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant | Saint Helens, Oregon

As a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you’ll directly impact students' communication skills, collaborating with educators and other professionals to foster growth and success throughout the school year.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid SLPA licensure/certification
- Previous experience in a school-based environment or with K-8 populations preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness and ability to travel between two school sites a short distance apart
Key Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of speech, language, and communication programs under the guidance of a supervising SLP
- Work with students individually or in small groups to develop specific skills as outlined in IEPs
- Keep detailed records of student progress and collaborate with team members regarding strategies and modifications
- Prepare and organize educational materials and activities tailored to individual student needs
- Communicate observations and updates to supervising SLP, teachers, and families as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and regulatory guidelines
