Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Richmond, TX
Seeking licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to provide essential coverage for several maternity leave openings at multiple school campuses in the Houston metro area. Multiple assignments will open beginning early 2027 and continue through the end of the year. Each campus assignment requires prompt, on-site support, making reliable transportation and manageable commutes crucial due to the large region and significant traffic challenges.
Successful candidates will:
- Hold an active, in-hand Texas SLPA license (please submit a screenshot with your application)
- Bring proven experience working in a school-based setting
- Show clear ability to manage commutes—applicants must confirm a feasible daily travel plan for assigned campuses
- Be prepared to work on-site (remote work is not available for these roles)
- Maintain reliable transportation for daily assignments across designated locations
Key responsibilities include collaborating with supervising SLPs, implementing personalized therapy plans, supporting students with communication needs, conducting progress monitoring, and maintaining accurate documentation per campus and district standards.
Available assignments include elementary and middle school campuses in South, West, Southwest, and East/Southeast Houston, with start dates on January 4th, January 18th, February 1st, and March 15th, 2027, depending on campus placement. Assignment durations will be finalized closer to start dates.
