An exciting opportunity is available for a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support middle school students in the Northwest Philadelphia area. This full-time, contract position offers a flexible schedule and the chance to work with a supportive district that includes a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) on staff. The role focuses on providing 1:1 support within the middle school caseload for the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of an SLP
- Provide direct 1:1 support to middle school students within the school setting
- Assist in assessing and monitoring student progress
- Collaborate with school staff to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district protocols
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working as an SLPA in schools, specifically with middle school students
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders and intervention strategies
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with school-based therapy settings is preferred
