Desired qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting, or a related field
- Active SLPA license or eligibility in Pennsylvania
- Recent experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Comfortable working collaboratively with SLPs, teachers, and support staff
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to student success
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to students under the supervision of a certified SLP
- Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes for student records
- Prepare instructional materials and support classroom carryover of speech-language goals
- Communicate regularly with supervising SLP and other educational team members
- Participate in meetings and training sessions as needed
