Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field (bachelor’s preferred)
- Active SLPA license in Pennsylvania, meeting all state requirements
- Experience working with children or in a school environment is highly valued
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans and collaborate effectively with supervising SLPs and educational staff
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to school policies
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of individualized therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Collect and document student performance data to monitor progress and inform interventions
- Assist in developing materials and activities to enhance language, speech, and communication skills
- Work with students individually or in small groups within classroom or therapeutic settings
- Participate in IEP meetings and parent communications as needed, ensuring effective information exchange
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment for all learners
