School Speech Therapist | Lake Worth, Florida
Step into an impactful role as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting students across multiple schools in Palm Beach County. Work on-site in a full-time contract capacity, collaborating with educational teams to meet students’ communication and language needs. This opportunity offers assignment flexibility across elementary, middle, and high school levels—with caseloads in general education, PreK, ASD, Head Start, DHH, and InD, depending on location and placement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current FL Speech Language Pathologist License (Dept. of Health required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Experience in school-based settings beneficial
- Not accepting Clinical Fellows (CF) or Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA)
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Able to complete time-sensitive FL fingerprinting and credentialing (support provided)
- Comfortable working with diverse age groups and needs across multiple sites
- Willingness to participate in a prescreen video interview
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to caseload of students as assigned (details vary by school)
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation in accordance with district policies
- Travel between assigned school sites within the district as needed
