Speech Therapy Assistant in Prince George, VA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available within a school setting located in Prince George, VA. This contract role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse student population across both middle and elementary school environments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Support students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Collaborate with educational staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with parents and staff.
Schedule and Caseload:
- Five-day workweek: 3 days at the middle school and 2 days at the elementary school.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 70 students.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) credential.
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred.
- Ability to implement speech and language therapy programs effectively.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Availability to start immediately.
