Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one in Virginia
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to follow therapy plans as directed by a supervising SLP
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Adaptability and teamwork within a multidisciplinary educational team
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Conduct individual or group therapy sessions to support students’ speech and language goals
- Collect and record data to monitor student progress
- Assist with development and adaptation of therapy materials
- Communicate student progress and needs to supervising SLP and other educational staff
- Participate in meetings and professional development as required by the school
