Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Norfolk, VA

- Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to assist in implementing therapy plans developed by certified Speech-Language Pathologists
- Organizational skills to manage caseload documentation and support instructional activities
- Adaptability and a passion for working with children with diverse speech and language needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services under supervision of credentialed SLPs
- Support students’ progress toward IEP goals with individualized and small-group intervention
- Collect and maintain documentation and data for student progress reporting
- Assist SLPs in preparing materials and modifying instructional resources
- Collaborate closely with staff, teachers, and families to encourage student success in the classroom
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
