In this role, you will work primarily with general education students, while also providing interventions for a smaller group (10-15) of students with social-emotional needs, maintaining a manageable total caseload of about 50 students. Your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will make a tangible difference in students’ academic and personal growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLPA license in Arizona, or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
- Familiarity with delivering services to both general education and students with social-emotional needs
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Ability to manage and organize documentation for a caseload of 50 students
Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans developed by a supervising SLP, delivering speech and language services in both individual and group settings
- Support students across general education classes and those in resource programs
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to foster student success
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP processes as needed
