Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - Pasadena, MD
Step into a rewarding role supporting students across two elementary campuses in the Baltimore, MD area as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This contract opportunity spans PreK through 5th grade, allowing you to work closely with a diverse, energetic student population. The assignment begins February 16, 2026, and runs through May 29, 2026, with the potential to extend into a four-week session in July for ESY services.
As an on-site SLPA, you’ll collaborate with lead SLPs and educational teams, spending three days each week at Magnolia Elementary and two days per week at Prospect Mill Elementary. The schedule totals 37.5 hours weekly and provides a balanced mix of therapy delivery, documentation, and student engagement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Maryland SLPA license, active and in good standing
- Demonstrated experience in school-based settings, serving PreK–5th grade
- Up-to-date on time-sensitive credentialing (HB 486 compliance: fingerprinting, background check, employment verification)
- Able to provide images of current licenses upon request
- Willingness to participate in a prescreen interview for suitability
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering student growth
Responsibilities:
- Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of licensed SLPs
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for speech and language goals
- Monitor, document, and report student progress accurately
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and families to support students holistically
- Travel between two local schools as scheduled each week
