Step into a rewarding role supporting PreK through 5th-grade students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the Baltimore area. This full-time, on-site contract position involves working across two vibrant elementary schools: three days per week at Magnolia Elementary and two days at Prospect Mill Elementary, totaling 37.5 hours weekly. The assignment is set to begin on February 16, 2026, and will run through May 29, 2026, with the possibility of extending into the four-week summer session.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure for SLPA required
- Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
- Ability to present valid licensure documentation upon request
- Completion of district-specific background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review in compliance with House Bill 486
- Reliable transportation and willingness to divide time between two campuses
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists and school staff to support students’ communication needs
- Carry out effective therapy interventions with PreK-5 students under SLP guidance
- Maintain detailed notes, track student progress, and manage data for assigned caseload
- Engage with families and teachers to foster student communication and educational success
- Uphold all ethical and confidentiality standards as required for school-based practice
The district offers competitive pay based on experience: those with 0-2 years may expect $42-$45 per hour, 3-5 years $45-$48, 6-9 years $48-$51, and 10+ years $51-$54 per hour.
Prospective candidates will participate in a brief eligibility interview to confirm suitability and available scheduling blocks include 9-11a and 2-3p EST, with some flexibility.
