Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive school team for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, onsite opportunity serves students in grades K–8 with a manageable caseload of approximately 14 students.
The school is located within a small, close-knit community and offers a highly collaborative and community-oriented environment. The SLPA will work alongside and support a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language services to students.
For candidates seeking full-time hours, the school also has a paraprofessional need for an additional two days per week, providing an opportunity to potentially combine positions.
Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Support a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist with student services and treatment implementation
Implement treatment plans and interventions designed by the supervising SLP
Assist with speech and language screenings, assessments, and data collection
Maintain accurate therapy notes and documentation
Support students in achieving communication goals outlined in their IEPs
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
Prepare therapy materials and assist with classroom-based interventions
Monitor student performance and communicate progress to the supervising SLP
Perform all duties expected of a school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
Qualifications:
Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license/certification required
Previous school-based experience preferred
Experience supporting students in grades K–8 preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Passion for supporting student growth and communication development
