You’ll provide essential on-site support to students across elementary and middle schools in Fort Myers, with multiple assignments combined to maximize your weekly hours. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference for a varied K-8 caseload of 50-55 students.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid, active FL DOH SLPA license
- School-based SLPA experience preferred
- Ability to adapt to different school environments
- Comfortable managing a blended caseload and flexible assignments
- Commitment to on-site service (this position is not open to virtual/remote)
- Reliable transportation to serve multiple school locations
- Familiarity with time-sensitive credentialing, including fingerprinting and JLA badge requirements (support provided for AHCA Clearinghouse verification and transfers)
- Effective communication skills with students, educators, and supervising SLPs
Role Highlights:
- Deliver direct speech-language interventions as outlined by supervising SLPs
- Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and support documentation
- Collaborate with educators and families to promote students’ communication goals
- Rotate between multiple school sites to build experience and hours
- Part-time schedule (7.5–22.5 hours/week) with possible increase to full-time (up to 37.5 hours/week) as additional supervision becomes available
- Engage with a supportive multidisciplinary team
