Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Newport News, VA

What you’ll bring:
- Valid SLPA license and eligibility to practice in Virginia
- Experience or training in school-based settings preferred
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations (elementary, middle, or high school age groups)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfort collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Adaptability to thrive with both in-person and remote supervision
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language intervention services to assigned students under SLP guidance
- Conduct screenings and assist with assessments as directed
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Implement therapy plans tailored to individual and group needs
- Communicate regularly with supervising SLP, onsite staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and team collaborations when necessary
