School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Middle River, Maryland

This contract-based opportunity is perfect for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) seeking to work across five schools, serving a diverse K-12 population in an itinerant capacity. Your expertise will help students reach their full potential in a collaborative and supportive team alongside two fellow SLPs and another SLPA.
The full-time schedule offers up to 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to consider part-time arrangements. Hours will coincide with high school (7:20 am–2:40 pm) and elementary (8:30 am–3:50 pm) bell schedules, allowing you to tailor your impact throughout the day. The specific caseload will be defined to match current student needs.
Ideal candidates will bring:
- Valid SLPA licensure or SLP credentials for schools in Maryland
- Experience or interest in working with K–12 students
- Strong organization skills and comfort traveling between multiple sites
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Commitment to fostering a positive, encouraging learning atmosphere
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct speech-language services to assigned students as part of their IEPs
- Implementing therapy activities and goals under the supervision of SLPs (for SLPA roles)
- Collecting data and documenting progress to support student growth
- Participating in team meetings and collaborating on intervention strategies
- Assisting with screenings and evaluations as needed
