Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Manteno, IL

As a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you’ll collaborate with teachers and a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist to foster student success and help every child find their voice.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active SLPA license or certification, in accordance with state requirements
- Previous experience in a school-based setting (preferred, but not required)
- Comfortable working with PreK–5th grade students with varying needs and abilities
- Strong communication skills, both with students and multidisciplinary teams
- Solid organizational abilities and a positive, student-focused approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement targeted speech-language interventions developed by the supervising SLP
- Assist in preparing materials and adapting activities for individual student goals
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in alignment with school protocols
- Support data collection and reporting for IEPs and parent communication
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to help integrate communication goals into the school day
- Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to empower student progress
