School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Kankakee, Illinois
Seeking an enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a vibrant PreK through 5th-grade environment. Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license or certification (state requirements apply)

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing therapy sessions for students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Provide direct support to students from PreK through 5th grade, targeting expressive and receptive language, articulation, and social communication needs
- Prepare therapy materials and document student progress following established protocols
- Monitor student participation, support classroom teachers with strategies, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
- Collaborate with team members to adapt activities and techniques that meet the developmental levels and unique needs of each student
