School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Mansfield, Texas

This long-term, onsite contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with a dedicated supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve a caseload of 70-80 elementary students, mostly through dynamic group sessions. The position runs from ASAP through May 21, 2027, with full-time hours from 7:30 AM–3:30 PM.
What You’ll Bring:
- Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
- Previous experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children in group settings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with educators, students, and families
- Ability to follow treatment protocols and implement therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Adaptability, creativity, and strong organizational skills to manage a large caseload effectively
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to elementary students, primarily in small groups
- Support the supervising SLP by implementing individualized treatment plans and tracking student progress
- Prepare and organize therapy materials tailored to students’ needs
- Accurately document sessions, ensuring compliance with school and state guidelines
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning atmosphere for all students
- Communicate regularly with teachers and families regarding student goals and achievements
