School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Arlington, Texas
Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant educational environment. In this position, you’ll engage directly with 70-80 students, providing services primarily through group sessions under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time role runs now through May 2027, offering consistent daytime hours (7:30 AM – 3:30 PM) on-site.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Texas SLPA license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Comfortable delivering group therapy and working with diverse elementary student populations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to receive direction from a supervising SLP and implement treatment plans as directed
What You’ll Do:
- Provide speech-language support services to a determined caseload of elementary students, mostly in group settings
- Implement therapy activities as planned and supervised by the SLP
- Collect data, document student progress, and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with educators and other school staff to foster student success
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student support plans
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding student needs and session outcomes
