In this role as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, you’ll work directly on site for the academic year, supporting a single school location with a full-time caseload of approximately 60-65 students. Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license required
- Experience providing speech support services in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with interventions for diverse student needs across K-12 age groups
- Spanish-speaking candidates are highly encouraged to apply
- Must be willing and able to complete or verify TEA fingerprint clearance (can take up to 10 business days)
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy and implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Support students’ progress toward IEP goals and adapt strategies as appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support individualized student needs
- Consistently maintain accurate records and documentation as required by relevant policies
- Participate in school-based team meetings and professional development
This is an on-site role (not virtual), offering you the chance to build close relationships with students and fellow educators while making a meaningful difference every day. The contract spans from August to May, with full-time hours during the academic year.
