Position Details:
- Full-time schedule, up to 37.5 hours weekly
- Assignment at one school site (to be confirmed) near Burleson, TX
- Caseload consists of approximately 60-65 students, ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Start date is as soon as possible, with the contract continuing through late May
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active, current Texas SLPA license is required; candidates completing clinical hours will not be considered
- Prior school-based experience preferred, specifically with K-12 student populations
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are highly preferred
- Fingerprinting through the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is mandatory; allow up to 10 business days for processing
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with SLPs, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language support services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Document student progress and maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) and contribute to IEP meetings when needed
- Engage with students, families, and staff to foster positive learning environments
- Participate in school-wide activities to promote language and communication development
