Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - Saint Johns, FL
Step into a dynamic school-based environment supporting students’ communication goals as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant. Two dedicated SLPA professionals are needed to fill full-time contract positions, with assignments potentially anchored at a single school site. This opportunity begins as soon as possible and runs through May 28, 2026. You'll play a vital role in helping students thrive, either by working alongside a virtual SLP to facilitate on-site speech services or by directly managing a traditional caseload.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active FL Department of Health SLPA license required
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and initiative for supporting diverse student populations
- Ability to navigate time-sensitive credentialing, including fingerprint processing through Florida’s AHCA Clearinghouse
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, direct speech services to students as assigned
- Act as a facilitator for virtual SLP service delivery on-site as needed
- Implement therapy plans under SLP supervision and monitor student progress
- Accurately document sessions and maintain student records
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams when required
- Adhere to all policies, confidentiality requirements, and district protocols
