Step into an impactful school-based opportunity as a dynamic Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. Two contract roles are currently available in a supportive educational environment, offering full-time schedules with 35 hours per week during the school year. You’ll be making a difference on-site at a single school location, helping students reach their communication goals.
One position focuses on facilitating speech services alongside a virtual SLP, while the other involves delivering direct therapy to a traditional caseload. Both roles span from now until late May 2026, giving you the chance to build strong, lasting connections with students and staff alike.
Ideal candidates bring expertise and dedication to student progress as well as the following qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA licensure required
- Experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly with SLPs, teachers, and school personnel
- Fingerprint clearance (with ability to provide verification or complete process as needed)
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing support as a speech facilitator to students under the supervision of a virtual SLP or managing a traditional caseload with on-site direct therapy
- Assisting with assessments, implementing individualized therapy plans, and tracking student progress
- Maintaining thorough documentation and reporting per school and regulatory standards
- Engaging in team meetings and parent communications as necessary
- Adhering to all district, state, and federal guidelines
