Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license
- Background in school-based SLP services (preferably K-5th grade)
- Proven experience supporting children with autism, understanding their unique communication needs
- Strong collaboration skills with teachers, parents, and school staff
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads split between two nearby campuses
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and intervention to students in grades K-5, focusing on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Serve as an advocate for students with communication needs, especially those on the autism spectrum
- Regularly assess student progress, documenting results and updating IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, contributing expertise on communication strategies and supports
- Consult with educators and support staff to implement effective interventions in classroom settings
