Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Irvine, CA

There are currently two open positions with varying schedules; one at 7 hours per day (35 hours weekly), and another at 5.75 hours per day (28.75 hours weekly), with the possibility of increasing to 30 hours pending administrative approval.
Your expertise will support students across a range of speech and language needs. Some students utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, so comfort and experience in this area are essential.
What we’re seeking:
- Valid SLPA licensure or certification for California
- Experience supporting elementary-aged students in a school setting
- Familiarity or hands-on work with AAC devices and strategies
- Collaborative spirit, ready to partner with SLPs, educators, and parents
- Adaptability; may be asked to shift hours if the caseload or team structure changes
- Strong communication skills and a caring, enthusiastic approach
What you’ll do:
- Carry out direct therapy and small group interventions under the guidance of an SLP
- Implement treatment plans and collect student progress data
- Support students’ use of AAC and facilitate communication across school activities
- Prepare materials and join team meetings as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all
