Exciting opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) eager to support students along the Southeast Texas Coast. This full-time, contract role offers a meaningful way to make a difference for local schools as they launch into the new academic year. SLPA professionals will be integral members of the team for approximately the first six weeks of the school year, helping to ensure consistent therapy services for students while new hires fulfill licensure observation hour requirements.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLPA licensure is required
- Previous school-based experience as an SLPA is highly valued
- Availability to begin on August 10th and commit through September 25th
- Up-to-date or rapid completion of Texas fingerprinting/credentialing requirements
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to high-quality, student-centered care
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with instructional and support staff across one or more assigned schools (assignments will be confirmed soon)
- Adapt sessions to meet diverse needs spanning a range of ages within the school setting
- Help facilitate a positive and collaborative learning environment
This temporary contract is a chance to showcase your expertise in a vibrant educational setting. Work approximately 35 hours each week with a dedicated support team as you help bridge critical service needs at the start of the year.
