Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Houston, TX

You’ll provide direct SLPA services in 1-2 schools, working collaboratively within a district that prioritizes a workload model—ensuring your time, skill set, and student outcomes are respected. The assignment runs from now through May 2027, with a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, giving you both stability and the chance to build meaningful relationships with students and staff alike.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) license required
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but new grads are welcome
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with a workload-based model is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Position Details & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to students as directed by supervising SLPs
- Maintain accurate service documentation and data tracking
- Support implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in school team meetings as needed
- Serve as a positive, proactive resource for students, families, and staff
