Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license valid in Texas
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Comfortable with elementary age caseloads and diverse speech-language needs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to implement therapy plans under SLP supervision
- Demonstrated reliability and adaptability for covering short-term assignments
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students as outlined in IEPs
- Support SLPs in preparing materials, conducting therapy sessions, and documenting progress
- Adapt activities and approaches for individual and group sessions
- Collaborate with special education, general education staff, and families on student progress
- Maintain accurate records and follow school policies and procedures
- Contribute to a welcoming, positive learning environment
