Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid, current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous experience working in school-based settings, ideally with elementary-aged students
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage young learners effectively
- Demonstrated reliability and organizational skills in managing caseloads and documentation
- Familiarity with IEP processes and goals implementation is a plus
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct articulation, language, and communication support to assigned students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Implement individualized intervention plans and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support each child’s communication goals holistically
- Contribute to IEP meetings and progress reporting as needed
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school and state guidelines
