In this contract position, you’ll play a vital part in delivering services designed to help students achieve their speech and language goals under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an SLPA program or bachelor’s in Communication Sciences/Disorders required
- Valid state licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Prior experience in a K-12 educational setting strongly preferred
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to follow therapy plans and collect relevant data
- Adaptability in managing diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to K-12 students as outlined in IEPs
- Assist in preparing materials and implementing therapy activities
- Collect data and maintain thorough documentation of student progress
- Work closely with supervising SLPs and educational teams
- Foster a positive, supportive environment for students and families
