Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Vernon Rockville, CT

This contract opportunity, available for one to two Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), spans from ASAP through June 2027 and offers a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, with 35 to 37.5 hours per week. You’ll serve a diverse K-12 caseload and may have the chance to work across multiple school sites, providing varied and meaningful experiences each day.
What you’ll bring:
- Current SLPA licensure or eligibility in Connecticut
- Previous experience with school-aged children preferred
- Ability to adapt and collaborate with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Flexibility to work across different school environments and with students from varying backgrounds
What you’ll do:
- Implement speech and language therapy activities under the direction of a licensed SLP
- Assist with screenings, assessments, and documentation
- Support individual and group sessions for students with diverse communication needs
- Maintain timely records and progress data
- Work closely with educators and families to promote student success
- Adapt to the needs of multiple schools as assignments vary during the year
