What you'll bring to the role:
- Valid SLPA license or certification for the state of Massachusetts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and adolescents
- Experience in a school setting or working with pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to follow speech-language treatment plans as designed by a certified SLP
- Flexibility, organization, and a positive, collaborative approach to working with educators and families
Your daily responsibilities:
- Carry out student treatment sessions as directed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
- Assist with data collection, documentation, and progress monitoring for IEP goals
- Prepare materials for therapy sessions and contribute creative ideas to support student engagement
- Support teachers and staff by providing strategies and recommendations for classroom communication needs
- Communicate with caregivers and other stakeholders, always advocating for student success
- Attend staff meetings, professional development, and trainings as required
