Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Amherst, MA

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active SLPA license in the state or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience supporting speech-language services in a school setting preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with SLPs, educators, students, and families
- Strong organization, communication, and documentation skills
- Compassionate, energetic approach to working with young learners
- Familiarity with IEPs and goal-based service delivery is valuable
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy activities as planned by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
- Work with students individually and in small groups to target speech, language, and communication goals
- Track student progress and maintain detailed records of sessions and outcomes
- Support SLP in conducting screenings and assisting with assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and family members to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative team discussions as needed
