Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Texas SLPA license (required at the time of application—candidates in process or completing hours are not eligible)
- Experience or strong interest in working with a diverse K-12 population
- Bilingual Spanish-English fluency is highly preferred to better serve a multicultural student community
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities within an educational team setting
- TEA fingerprint clearance required prior to start (credentialing process may take up to 10 business days)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as outlined by IEPs under SLP supervision
- Conduct screenings, document student progress, and assist with therapy material preparation
- Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary staff for student support and progress monitoring
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all school/district and state documentation requirements
