Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification/licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Experience or clinical training within a school-based or pediatric setting
  • Solid understanding of language, speech, and communication development in early and elementary students
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for helping children achieve academic and communication milestones

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in grades K–4 under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate, timely records and documentation
  • Support classroom teachers with strategies for language development and communication skills
  • Assist in the administration of informal speech and language screenings as needed
  • Participate in team meetings, staff development, and parent conferences when appropriate
