An exciting contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with middle and high school students in the Minneapolis, MN area during the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates should be passionate about empowering adolescents to achieve their communication goals. You’ll work with a diverse caseload, supporting speech-language development in a structured, collaborative setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Minnesota Department of Education SLP or SLPA license required
- Previous experience working with school-aged children (especially middle and high school preferred)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and adaptability to address varying student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP (for SLPAs)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Assist with assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation of student improvement
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to optimize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support planning
