Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLPA certification required
- Experience working with students in 1st through 5th grade preferred
- Knowledge of school-based speech, language, and communication support
- Strong communication skills with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to implement and support individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Flexibility to adapt techniques to fit varied classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of speech and language services in collaboration with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
- Work alongside teachers to reinforce therapy goals within classroom activities
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the supervising SLP
- Assist with documentation and routine data collection to track program effectiveness
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development as directed
- Foster a supportive, welcoming atmosphere for students from diverse backgrounds
