Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist Assistant licensure in Texas is required
- Experience or strong interest in school-based settings, working with K-12 students
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 60-65 students, delivering interventions and documenting progress
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly valued
- Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Must complete or verify fingerprinting through TEA (allow up to 10 business days for processing)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services according to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under the supervision and guidance of a licensed SLP
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education professionals, and families to optimize student success
- Assist with assessments, data collection, and progress monitoring
- Adapt activities and materials for students from kindergarten through high school
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation as required by the district
