School Speech Therapy Assistant | Bel Air, Maryland
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in a dynamic elementary school setting as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant. Work with PreK–5th grade learners across two well-established schools in the Baltimore area, helping them access critical communication skills for classroom success. This contract role runs from mid-February through the end of May, with a possible four-week extension for Extended School Year in July.
You will provide on-site therapy and support services at Magnolia Elementary (three days weekly—Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and Prospect Mill Elementary (two days weekly—Monday, Wednesday), blending structure and variety into your schedule for a total of 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Current and active Maryland Speech Language Pathology Assistant professional licensure
- Demonstrated experience working with PreK–5th grade or in elementary educational environments
- Proficiency supporting diverse caseloads in a school setting
- Availability to interview on or after 4/27/2026
- Ability to provide images of required licenses for credentialing
- Willingness to complete House Bill 486 fingerprinting, background check, and employment history review
- Flexibility to schedule a prescreen interview between 9–11 a.m. or 2–3 p.m. EST (some flexibility available)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services under supervision of a licensed SLP
- Collaborate with classroom instructors and related service teams
- Support IEP goals through individual and small group intervention
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation
- Communicate with caregivers regarding student progress when appropriate
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
