Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students across two elementary schools in the Baltimore area as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This on-site opportunity allows you to work with PreK through 5th-grade students, fostering communication growth and positively impacting young learners. The assignment covers 37.5 hours per week, with your time split between Magnolia Elementary (three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and Prospect Mill Elementary (two days per week: Monday, Wednesday). The initial contract runs from February 16, 2026, to May 29, 2026, with the potential to extend into the four-week Extended School Year in July 2026.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current Maryland professional licensure as an SLPA
- School-based experience highly preferred
- Ability to present required credentials, including documentation for House Bill 486 (district background check/fingerprinting and employment history review)
- Flexibility to work across two school sites
- Comfort working with PreK–5th grade caseloads
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans as directed by supervising Speech Language Pathologists
- Deliver direct speech/language therapy services to students in individual or small group settings
- Assist with assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation
- Collaborate with SLPs, educators, and families to support student progress
- Contribute to IEP documentation, meetings, and team communication
