A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CFY or CCC credentials, supporting K-6 students in a school setting in Joliet, IL. Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 6th grade.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student communication goals.
- Manage a caseload currently serving 22 students across five classrooms, with a maximum of six students per room.
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) planning.
- Support Extended School Year (ESY) programming during June.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA certification or Speech-Language Pathologist credential (CFY or CCC).
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards in a school environment.
Schedule & Location:
- Location: Joliet, Illinois (onsite).
- School year hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- ESY hours (June 1 - June 29): Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- School year ends May 29th; next school year starts August 13th.
