Step into a vital role supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist in a contract position for the 2025-2026 school year. Enjoy a consistent full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, working with early childhood through 5th grade students in self-contained autism classrooms. You’ll collaborate with educators, interventionists, and families to provide essential speech and language services and help every learner thrive in a supportive environment.

Competitive compensation is available for both certified SLP-CCC and SLP-CFY professionals—SLP-CCC roles offer $55–$60 per hour, while SLP-CFY roles receive $38–$40 per hour.

Key Requirements:

  • Valid Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license (IDFPR)
  • ISBE Professional Educator License (refer to ASHA state requirements)
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
  • Experience with pediatric or school-based populations; work with autism spectrum populations preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to inform IEP development
  • Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy within self-contained autism classes (E.C through grade 5)
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to maximize student communication outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
  • Consult regularly with educators and families on strategies that foster communication and learning
  • Support ongoing progress and make recommendations for continued student success
