Embark on an enriching contract opportunity this fall as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist, serving two elementary schools with thriving, diverse student populations. This assignment begins in September 2026 and runs for 12 weeks, offering a full-time schedule of 35+ hours per week. You’ll play an essential role supporting PreK to 5th-grade students, with a special emphasis on those in high autism and preschool populations.
In this position, you will:
- Deliver targeted speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students, providing direct intervention and consultation in a school-based setting.
- Complete student assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and families.
- Maintain detailed session documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and state guidelines.
- Flexibly travel between two elementary campuses to meet student needs, supporting staff and engaging with various school communities.
- Foster communication skills crucial for academic and social success, adapting approaches for preschoolers and students with autism.
Preferred candidates bring:
- Active NJ Speech-Language Pathologist License.
- Valid NJ State SLS certification.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) considered with external supervision.
- Strong background or passion for serving children with autism spectrum disorder and early childhood populations.
- Flexibility to travel between two assigned locations within the district.
- Commitment to onsite-only service (remote work not available).
- Experience with IEP documentation and school-based SLP services (a plus).
