Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Elizabeth, NJ

As part of a 12-week maternity leave coverage starting in September 2026, you’ll provide direct services onsite at two elementary schools, each featuring a high Autism and preschool population. Flexibility to travel between school locations is ideal, offering varied experiences throughout your assignment.
What you’ll bring:
- Active NJ Speech-Language Pathology License
- Valid NJ SLS Certification
- SLP-CCC credential (CFs accepted with outside supervision; the district cannot provide supervision)
- Experience or strong interest in serving pediatric and school-age populations, especially those with Autism
- Ability to work onsite
- Willingness to travel between assigned schools as needed
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Commitment to collaborative, student-centered care
- Passion for supporting children’s educational and social success
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational programming
- Travel as required between school sites to serve students in need
