Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Newark, NJ
Make your impact this fall in elementary schools near Newark, NJ! We are seeking two dynamic Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to step in for maternity leave coverage across two vibrant campuses. Both full-time positions offer the opportunity to work with engaged K-5th grade students, including a strong focus on autism spectrum and preschool populations.
These onsite roles require flexibility to travel between two welcoming school locations. The contract begins in September 2026 and runs for approximately 12 weeks, providing a rewarding short-term assignment where your expertise will make a real difference.
What you’ll need to thrive:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current NJ SLP License and valid NJ SLS Certification (required)
- ASHA CCCs are strongly preferred; clinical fellows with external supervision may be considered
- Experience or enthusiasm for serving early childhood and neurodiverse student populations
- Willingness to travel between Sewaren and Iselin sites during the week
- Commitment to onsite-only service delivery
- SLPAs are not eligible for this posting
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for elementary and preschool students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with education teams and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and communication regarding student goals and status
- Support students’ social communication and language learning in inclusive classroom settings
