Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in the Merced region, with a focus on serving a moderate to severe caseload across multiple school sites. This itinerant role is ideal for travel professionals ready to make a meaningful impact during the 2026-2027 school year, starting August 8, 2026, and ending June 4, 2027. This position is open to on-site providers (not virtual/VOCO), and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California SLP license required
- SLP-CCC designation preferred
- Prior experience in school-based settings, supporting students with moderate to severe needs
- Familiarity with SEIS Service Tracker is highly desirable
- CTC credential required
- Ability to work across multiple school locations in an itinerant capacity
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to a diverse student population with moderate to severe needs
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and utilize SEIS Service Tracker as needed
- Travel between assigned school sites to deliver comprehensive speech services
- Serve as a resource to educators and families, offering guidance on communication strategies and interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring
