The position begins as soon as possible and runs through May 28th, 2027, offering a consistent weekday schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license required
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior experience in K-12 school settings or with school-aged children highly valued
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working collaboratively with education teams, students, and families
- Ability to adapt treatment plans for diverse student needs
- Commitment to onsite service delivery; this role does not offer virtual/remote options
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Deliver direct therapy services to students individually or in groups during school hours
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ academic progress
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review progress, adjust therapy plans, and advocate for your students
