Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Wheaton, IL
Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students and staff across several school levels in a vibrant educational setting near Wheaton, IL. Two full-time opportunities are available to cover maternity leaves: the first assignment will begin in late October or early November and continue through December 18, 2026, primarily focusing on services for both a middle school and an elementary school. The second opportunity will start in December and extend through May 2027, providing dedicated support to high school students.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) necessary
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF) are encouraged to apply
- School-based SLP experience is highly valued
- Excellent communication and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services in alignment with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Conduct assessments, document interventions, and maintain student records with accuracy
- Engage creatively with a diverse caseload spanning elementary, middle, and high school populations
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and growth-oriented environment for students
